Pirate Tourisim
So here's a question for you all - if you could travel anywhere on a "Pirate Tourism" junket, where would you go? I'm talking about any kind of pirate-related tourism, whether it's a cool ship, a re-enactment location, a historical site, themed-hotel, etc. I'm obviously not talking about a modern-day pirate adventure, like an ill-advised cruise to Somalia, but a fun tour of pirate-appropriate locations, anywhere in the world. Where would you go?

Third Friday, November 20th
Since it doesn't appear that anybody has claimed Third Friday, I will do so now. At Daisy's suggestion, we will raid McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon, at 107 NW Couch St in Old Town on Friday the 20th. It's huge, transit friendly (just a stumble from the Max) and happy hour goes until 7pm. At this time I'm calling this a raid (which means I haven't actually contacted the management), but that might or might not change between now and Friday.
So join us for a drink, a song, a game, some carousin' and rainy weather camraderie!

First Friday/Third Friday
It was great seeing old and new mates at the Stillhouse last Friday. Sorry I was too hoarse to lead a song. I thought Third Friday might conflict with Thanksgiving, but it's actually on the 20th, so it seems likely there'll be one. Anybody game for organizing that raid? Fall/Winter is a good time to get together someplace warm and drink with our mates, spinnin' yarns o' the adventures we had during the fair weather!

Pirate Festival
Had a great time hanging out with everybody at the festival this year. The Pirate Picnic was a great gathering place - next year I might expand it with more seating and maybe even tables. Sorry to those I missed - Molly, James, Henrietta, et al. Wish it could have worked out for us to have the after party this year but it was not meant to be. First Friday will be on our 10th wedding anniversary, so we won't be joining in the festivities that day, but we hope to see many of you at Third Friday down in St. Helens!
